Meet the Instructor

Rachel Esterline Perkins, founder of Venturesome Strategies, has taught at Michigan State University and Central Michigan University since 2015. She has guest lectured at a number of colleges and universities for over 15 years.

Rachel offers insights to students and professionals based on her experience working in marketing, public relations, advocacy communications, crisis communications, and social media. 

Her industry portfolio spans nonprofit, agency, corporate, education, edtech, SaaS, agriculture, environmental advocacy, clean energy, manufacturing, health care, and more.

Rachel holds an Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America. She has a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Public Relations and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from CMU.
